Recently, after deliberation by the Executive Meeting of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Zunyi Medical and Pharmaceutical College (ZMPC) had been approved as a supporting unit of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The Research Department had completed registration, and the college had the qualifications to organize applications and manage National  Natural Science Foundation projects in the future.

Since the beginning of this year, the Party Committee of ZMPC had attached great importance to the application work, consolidating research management, construction of science and technology service centers as well as basic research achievements. In the application materials, the college had highlighted the scientific research characteristics of collaborative innovation between traditional Chinese medicine and precision medicine.

The approval of the National Natural Science Foundation's supporting unitswas an important opportunity for the college.It helped the college upgrade and high-quality development, and alsogavea catalyst for accelerating the improvement of scientific research management and technological innovation. The Research Department should focus on accelerating the construction of expert databases  and the scientific research teams, strengthening project application guidance, and standardizing and effectively fulfilling the management responsibilities of the National Natural Science Foundation’s supporting units.
