Before a powerful nation, there is an advanced educational system; and before an advanced educational system, there are a group of capable teachers. For a deeply understanding of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important exposition of thoughts of education, a further enhancement of college teacher’s professional ethics and the ideological and political quality, and a long-lasting special education on teacher ethics and conduct, on the afternoon of Oct. 12th, 2023, chaired by Ms. Sun Zhu, the Party Secretary of the college, a special lecture on college teacher’s professional ethics in 2023 was held All faculty members (including temporary employees) attended the lecture.
Professor Deng Lei,one of thedoctoral supervisorsat the School of Teacher Education of the Southwest University,gave a lecturetitled “Achieving a Great Teacher: The Mission and Ethics of Teachers in the New Era”, revolvingaround the connotation and inheritance of a Great Teacher, the background and mission of a Great Teacher, and the ethics and ethics of a Great Teacher. Starting from the educational background of the new era, he usedvivid examples to explain what a Great Teacherwas and how to become a Great Teacher, bringing profound inspiration toevery one of the teachers.
At the end of the lecture, Secretary Sun Zhu emphasized that every teacher of ZMPC must follow General Secretary Xi Jinping’s guides, and establish the ambition of “cultivating the education industry and strengthening the country with myself”. The college teachers shouldbe confident, self-improvement, andhard-workingto make new and greater contributions to the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation.
