On September 7, a series of academic lectures on enhancing the research capabilities of young teachers was held at the Science and Technology Service Center. Professor Zhang Yousi from Tianjin University was invited to give a special lecture titled“Pharmacological and Toxicological Role of Solute Carrier Proteins in Liver Disease.”Lu Yuanfu,theDeputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President as well as teachers and researchers from ourcollege, attended the lecture report. The vice president of the Research Office, Kuang Xiaoyan, presided over the event.

Professor Zhang elaborated in detail on the extremely significant pharmacological and toxicological values of solute carrier proteins (SLCs), shared the relevant cutting-edge research on transport proteins in the fields of pharmacology and toxicology, and presented in detail the progress made by her research group in drug-induced liver injury, nephropathy, chronic liver diseases and liver cancer. After the presentation, Zhang engaged in an exchange and interaction with the young researchers on site and meticulously answered the questions that the researchers encountered in their scientific research work.
