On December 31, 2023, the fourteenth session of the sixteenth phase of our university’s“Youth Marxist Project”training program was successfully held in the lecture hall on the third floor of the library. The theme of this session was“Set Lofty Aspirations, Become a Doctor Who Serves Society, and Grow into an Outstanding Young Marxist.”The lecture was delivered by Lu Yuanfu, Deputy Secretary of theCollegeParty Committee and President.

At the outset of the training, President Lu engaged the trainees in an interactive session by posing the question, "What is a young Marxist?" He highlighted that students bear both personal aspirations and a sense of national responsibility, emphasizing that embracing change is the first step toward growth. Simultaneously, he outlined the future direction for the students, encouraging them to develop sound career plans and seize the opportunities presented by the times. When discussing the theme of "becoming a doctor who serves society," President Lu delved into the essence and significance of ideals and beliefs. He shared stories of revolutionary leaders and highlighted exemplary deeds of faculty and students at our university to inspire the trainees to cultivate correct ideals and beliefs, striving to become doctors who serve society with the qualities of comprehensiveness, specialization, and sincerity in the new era. In light of the challenges posed by diverse social ideologies, President Lu underscored the importance of reinforcing their faith foundation and becoming young Marxists equipped with the latest theoretical achievements of Sinicized Marxism.

At the conclusion of the training, President Luencouraged the trainees to strive diligently, dedicating themselves to the cause of public health and social development. He urged them to set lofty aspirations and become exemplary doctors who serve society. The training session concluded successfully amidst warm applause from the participants, providing a significant boost to the growth and development of the Young Marxist trainees.
