On February 14, 2023, the college Safety Coordination Meeting for the Spring Semester of 2025 was convened in Conference Room 943 of the Administrative Complex Building. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Zhang Biao and attended by safety work leaders from various departments within thecollege.
At the meeting, Vice President Zhang Biao conveyed the key points of the provincial education department's safety conferences and relevant documents. He outlined comprehensive safety measures covering traffic safety, food safety, fire safety, telecommunications and network fraud prevention, cybersecurity, intern safety, mental health support for teachers and students, and the investigation and rectification of the campus surroundings. Additionally, he reviewed the safety hazard inspection reports from each teaching department, the security office, the logistics office, and other relevant units.
The meeting emphasized that all departments must enhance their political awareness, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and intensify inspections for potential safety hazards, particularly in critical areas such as dormitories, laboratories, and dining facilities. Departments should promptly identify and address any emerging or trending issues. It was also stressed that campus vehicle management should be improved to ensure standardized parking and safe travel for faculty and students. Cooperation with local law enforcement should be enhanced to investigate and rectify the environment surrounding the campus. Finally, strict adherence to thecollege’s duty roster and emergency response protocols is required to ensure timely and effective handling of any sudden incidents.
