On November 15th, the 13th Annual Track and Field Sports Meeting of thecollegel was officially inaugurated with great pomp and ceremony in the Rain and Wind Gymnasium. Lu Yuanfu, Party Secretary and President of thecollegel, delivered the opening address and declared the event open.collegel leaders including Vice Presidents Zhang Wuxiao, Yue Yingquan, Zhang Biao, and Huang Xuejun attended the opening ceremony. The ceremony was also attended by heads of all departments and offices, all counselors, all referees, coaches, athletes, and students on campus.
At precisely 9 a.m., accompanied by lively music, the procession comprising the national flag squad, the color guard, athletes from each academic department, international students, members of thecollegel sports teams, and referees, all dressed in distinctive attire and marching with steady strides, entered the venue. They subsequently delivered impressive performances.
Following this, a solemn flag-raising ceremony was conducted. Representatives of the athletes and referees took the oath.
In his address, President Lu Yuanfu emphasized several key points. First, revitalizing the sports industry is essential for realizing the dream of a strong nation. Second, integrating medicine and sports will advance the construction of a Healthy China. Third, we must join hands with young people to promote noble causes. Through this sports meet, we aim to achieve comprehensive participation in sports across the entirecollegel, thereby interpreting the spirit of Chinese sports in the new era. We should work together to fully demonstrate the strength of contemporary China, uphold fairness and justice to showcase the positive energy of modern sports, and foster an enterprising spirit to profoundly present the image of today's college students.
Following the opening ceremony, several field and track events were held in the Rain and WindPlaying Field. The sports meet, spanning two days, will feature 335 athletes selected from each academic department and international students competing vigorously in 27 field and track events.
