Recently, the 2024 Guizhou Provincial College andUniversity Badminton and Table Tennis Competition, part of the "Sunshine Sports for Ten Million Students" campaign and the "Run, Youth!" series organized by the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education and the Guizhou Provincial Sports Bureau, officially commenced at Guizhou Institute of Technology. Ourcollegedispatched a total of 14 students to participate in the badminton and table tennis events, achieving remarkable results.

In the higher vocational college group badminton competition:

- Students Gu Huai Fei and Luo Yi Kang secured second place in men's doubles.

- An Haomin and Wang Zeng placed fifth in men's doubles.

- Gu Huai Fei and Li Yanxun were awarded the Sportsmanship Award.

In the higher vocational college group table tennis competition:

- Students Zhang Jie, Song Dan, Shen Li, and Liang Guangqin won fifth place in the women's team event.

- Zhang Jie and Song Dan placed fifth in women's doubles.

- Zhang Jie achieved fifth place in women's singles.

- Wang Miao and Liang Guangqin received the Sportsmanship Award.

In recent years, ourcollegehas been committed to strengthening and improving physical education in the new era. We have continuously explored the "1+2+1" physical education talent cultivation model, enhancing the development of physical education courses, and offering specialized courses in table tennis and badminton. Additionally, we have establishedcollege-level table tennis and badminton teams. Through comprehensive guidance and training provided by teachers both in and out of class, students' physical and mental health has been significantly improved, promoting the integration of physical education and academic instruction.
